A Potterhead, still? Always!

When Harry Potter was first introduced to the World, in the summer of 1997, I was oblivious to him. No one introduced me to the ‘Boy who lived’ for years after. In the early 2000s, when both Harry and I reached our mid-teens, we met. And since then, I have been in an eternal, albeit complicated, relationship with the scarred Brit. Over the years, I have fallen in love with not just the boy, but his people, school, teachers, even his enemies. I have, along with half my generation, lived a vicarious magical life with him. We have hoped, against all our better senses, that one day a fantastic envelop, emblazoned with the Hogwarts insignia, and our names on it, would be dropped down our ‘chimneys’. I became a Potterhead for life.

This year, Harry turns 37, and we’re just a week away! In celebration, we are having a Harry Potter week starting tomorrow. Everything we say, do, or write, is going to be about the Wizarding World, centered around the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!

Brace yourselves Blank Slaters! Here comes Pottermania…
