E-commerce in India has exploded in the last few years. While players like Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal capture a significant share of the market, many lesser known Indian shopping sites will amaze you! A large number of brick-n-mortar fashion houses are now opening online outlets, or teaming up with niche websites.
Fashionista and budding stylist Mili Chawla specializes in studying and researching these upcoming, trendy, Indian e-commerce sites. She shares her favorites with us!
Pernia Qureshi is a leading stylist and fashion icon of Bollywood. In her e-commerce venture, she puts Indian designs on a global platform. Although the price range of clothes on this website is premium, you are certain to get the latest designer apparel and accessories. You can get your hands on the who’s who of Bollywood fashion game: Payal Singhal, Tarun Tahiliani, Gaurav Gupta, Gauri & Nainika, only a click away!
Note to self: Window shop for sure, and wait for the yummy sales!
If you are a global shopper, you might have heard about this brand as they have a decade’s experience in selling runway-ready shoes. It is only recently that they started in India, and they hope to kick-ass here as well. You will get mid range footwear options.
Mili says, ” Truffle is a Blogger’s favorite, super-trending multi-category shoes store. Few names to look out for: perspex heels (clear heels), barely there-s, tall boots, and corset heels. You can get all these without drilling a “deep” hole in the pocket. In my opinion, the only drawback is that the products are not systematically categorized, as it’s a relatively new website.”
Femella caters to the fashion conscious woman. It has an elegant western wear collection. And the prices are comparable to other e-commerce sites.
Mili’s pick: Romantic ruffles and frills are aplenty on this website. As their collection comprises mostly of solids, minimalists, like myself, would find their products delectable. The palette includes neutrals, pastels, dark blues, and blacks.
Pipabella has the most unique jewelry collection online in the country. It has statement artifacts that have garnered the attention of the fashion police, for all the right reasons! The items are priced averagely, and have chic, minimalistic styling.
Mili’s take: Pinterest worthy, unique and unusual designs. What I heart the most is the option to personalize necklaces and bracelets. The styles are boho to edgy. Their work wear collection, minimalistic and impactful, is surely a head turner!
The Souled Store calls themselves a platform of like-minded people. It sells quirky, artistic stuff. The site is one of the best places to get graphic printed tees, wacky mobile covers, goofy badges, geeky backpacks and such. The store is also the official partner of Kings XI Punjab IPL team!
If you are looking for a casual gift shop, try this site. It has a plethora of phone covers, with an impressive number of brands and models included. Customization of phone covers, and other cool goodies, is also possible.
What you get: Unisex-phone covers, laptop sleeves, leather accessories, stationary, wall art, cushion cover
This site boasts of an original and a unique collection of items. Ranging from apparel, home decor, stationary and to unique gift items, you will be spoiled for choice. The prices are a little steep, but the chic and cute items will surely blow your mind.
Mili recommends,”Has a lot of things but highly recommended for super cute passport covers. From funky, quirky to girly, it caters to all. Favorite pick is one with a little tie on it ! Also, it has some cool printed t-shirts for men.”
So what are you waiting for! Go check out these sites and let us know if you discover better options to find that excellent jaw-dropping deal!
