The world has completed yet another trip around the sun, and many words are now written in the history of mankind. In the age of internet and free words everywhere, books and stories have maintained the timeless charm. So this list is close to the heart.
Here are 5 books the world is waiting for:
The Winds of Winter (A Song of Ice and Fire, #6) by George R.R. Martin
Do you love Game of Thrones, the TV series? Then I bet you will LOVE (in caps) the books. The books (like always) have more interesting characters and gripping descriptions. The last book came back quite a while ago, and every year we want this book to come out! Please, George RR Martin, are you listening?
The Seeker (The Host, #2) by Stephenie Meyer
We all share a love-hate relationship with Twilight. It might just be the ‘Justin Beiber’ of the fantasy fiction world. There is a cult following of The Twilight love story, and there is (an arguably larger) group who do not quite share that emotion. But with Host, Stephenie Meyer has gripped the attention of the world once more. And now, we all are waiting for the 2nd book. (Refreshing my browser again!)
Men Without Women by Haruki Murakami
Murakami is the king of contemporary dystopia. He has a mastery over the absurd, while painting the most believable characters in his profound works. One has to embrace the crazy – raining fish, talking cats and the works – but, with his gripping storytelling, it is never a dull endeavor. Men without Women is his collection of short stories that launches in May 2017. The world of absurdist readers and their talkative pets are waiting, with bated breath!
Hit Refresh by Satya Nadella
Satya Nadella is the poster boy for Indian Tech geeks. His ‘India to Silicon Valley’ success story is a matter of legends in our country. A book that promises to cover his journey, his visions, and the future of tech, is understandably a best seller much before it even hits the stands.
Bridge of Clay by Markus Zusak
Markus Zusak is best known for his bestseller The Book Thief, which is one of the most engaging and moving young-adult fiction creations in the world. His awaited work is about a boy named Clay who is creating a bridge of great importance. The world of literature has not waited for a bridge with so much fascination, since maybe The Bridge on the River Kwai (originally French: Le Pont de la Rivière Kwai)
